Welcome to All Breed Animal Rescue of the Carolinas!
Welcome to All Breed Animal Rescue of the Carolinas where your new best friend is only A BARC away! We are a non-profit organization of dedicated friends committed to saving and re-homing neglected, unwanted, stray or abused animals. Based in Apex, North Carolina, we support North Carolina, Virginia, and beyond in placing homeless dogs with new loving families. A BARC is an established non-profit corporation in the state of North Carolina and is in the process of filing a 501(c)(3) application for non-profit, tax exempt status with the IRS.
At A BARC we do not have a building, office, or shelter. All of our animals enter into volunteer foster homes and live indoors with the foster family and other pets. Every animal receives a complete physical, immunizations, sterilization, heartworm test, microchip and treatment for any illnesses or diseases. All animals receive monthly flea/tick preventative and dogs also receive monthly heartworm preventative. The rescue is run by volunteers who donate their time and love of animals to help our efforts to save lives. We are always looking for volunteers and foster homes interested in joining our mission.
How we make a difference:
- Offering adoption services, while housing homeless dogs in foster homes until an adoption is complete.
- Working towards our common goals of saving dog's lives and reducing pet overpopulation.
- Educating the public in the importance of adoption, spaying and neutering of dogs, and regular vet visits.
